This is my absolute favorite shaped cake pan. It’s a giant cupcake! This pan is designed to make one huge confection with a sculpted top and bottom, the piece turns out a 3D cupcake that measures approximately 7-1/4 by 7-1/2 inches. Baking the cake is simple, you add cake batter to the top and bottom parts and “glue” them together with icing!
The last time I used this cake pan I baked a white vanilla cake in the bottom, and a pink strawberry cake in the top. When it was finished it really had the effect of being a huge pink frosting cupcake! If you are good at swirling cake batter, that effect will look great in the top as well.
Wilton makes this shaped cake pan, so you know that you are getting a high quality pan that will last a very long time. Wilton is the leader in shaped cake pans, and their experience leads to excellent cake pans just like this one. This cake pan is also suitable for all experience levels. There really isn’t a right or wrong way to decorate this cake!
