This mini ball shaped cake pan is perfect for making individual cakes.  You can decorate the balls however you wish.  I’ve made baseballs and basketballs, but you could do golf balls, globes, the Death Star, or bowling balls.

These shaped cake pans will take your baking from “just like everyone else” to gourmet!  The idea is very simple, each cake mold has an open spot that is to be filled with mousse, fruit, ice cream, granache, or anything you could imagine and when the two halves are put together it is filled.

This is a two piece aluminum shaped cake pan that when formed together make a ball.  The two pieces are baked individually and joined together with icing. It’s fairly small in size, around 6 inches in diameter, but when together it makes for a lot of cake.

This is a really cool idea!  If you’re looking for a dramatic cake this is the way to go.  The idea is simple, create a simple stacked tier cake and add these castle towers to it to make it a spectacular castle scene.

Rubber Ducky Shaped Cake Pan

Now talk about fun!  The Rubber Ducky shaped cake pan is the perfect cake for a first birthday, a baby shower, or Easter.  I love how bright and fun this rubber duckie is, and the fact that it’s three dimensional! 3-D cakes are becoming very popular as more and more people are decorating cakes.

Decorating this cake is pretty easy since the bulk of it is one color.  The tricky part is dealing with it being 3-D and adding the icing to the undersides.  A lazy-susan is almost a necessity if you want this cake to turn out right.  The mold is two pieces that are cooked separately.  After it’s been cooked, you have to shave down the pieces that line up to make sure that they are level, and join them together with icing.

Really, who wouldn’t love an Elmo shaped cake pan?  I would be flattered if you made me one, and I would giggle with every bite I took!  In my opinion, this is one cake pan that every baker should have since everyone loves Elmo.  It’s also a great cake pan to get the hang of decorating with an icing bag.  Most of his face is a solid color, so it’s really easy to work on technique and gain confidence decorating cakes.

This is my absolute favorite shaped cake pan.  It’s a giant cupcake!  This pan is designed to make one huge confection with a sculpted top and bottom, the piece turns out a 3D cupcake that measures approximately 7-1/4 by 7-1/2 inches.  Baking the cake is simple, you add cake batter to the top and bottom parts and “glue” them together with icing!

The last time I used this cake pan I baked a white vanilla cake in the bottom, and a pink strawberry cake in the top.  When it was finished it really had the effect of being a huge pink frosting cupcake!  If you are good at swirling cake batter, that effect will look great in the top as well.
