8″ cake pans are an absolute necessity in any kitchen. They can be used for cakes (obviously) but also for other baking jobs, cooking, and even deep dish pizza. There are so many different pans out there that it’s hard to know that you’re getting a good one at a great price. To help with this, I’ve assembled the best 8 inch cake pans from both Amazon and eBay so you can choose the one that you want and know that you didn’t spend too much on it. eBay is known for being the most affordable, but Amazon can save you lots of money as well with their shipping policies.

Most 8″ cake pans are made from aluminum and require that they be greased to prevent sticking. You can grease with butter, shortening, or a baking spray to prevent this. My favorite is spray canola oil for the texture that it adds to the cake, but you can use whichever you prefer. There are also nonstick versions of many of these pans, but in my opinion these aren’t really necessary since it doesn’t take too much to keep a regular aluminum pan from sticking. Springform pans also work great. They have a snap enclosure that allows you to undo the clasp after the cake is ready to free it from the pan.
